Olympus NDT SetupBuilder 1.1

Olympus NDT SetupBuilder is an offline configuration tool developed by Olympus NDT to help technicians and engineers design, validate, and document ultrasonic inspection setups before going to the field. It streamlines the creation of inspection parameters by allowing users to define part geometry, select probes and wedges from libraries, configure scan plans (such as linear or sectorial scans and TOFD groups), and automatically calculate focal laws.

With intuitive visualization of beam paths and coverage, SetupBuilder helps verify that inspection strategies meet requirements and reduces trial-and-error on the instrument. Completed setups can be saved and transferred to compatible Olympus flaw detectors, promoting consistency across teams and accelerating deployment. It’s ideal for weld inspection, corrosion mapping, and other ultrasonic testing applications where repeatable, well-documented configurations are critical.
